Girl Scout Troop 556 provided support to Arts Rolla during Summerfest 2008. The Girl Scouts helped children with art projects and also painted faces of the children coming to our booth.

Children at Summerfest were treated to face painting at the Arts Rolla booth. Girl Scout Trooop 556 assisted with face painting and with the arts and crafts. In the background is Susie Dobkins, the 2008 Miss Route 66, who also shared her time and talent with Arts Rolla.

Dr. Nick Knight and his Creative Writing Class shared a few selections from the body of work created while studying at his class. The students sharing work were Steven Beal, Theresa Callaway, Helen Sager, Erika Ward and Charlotte Ekker Wiggins. The students as well as their instructor, Dr. Nick Knight are shown in the photo above. The artwork shown in the photo was created as the result of a poem writetn by Steven Beal by Artist Diane Knight. The evening was memorable for everyone and concluded with the music of local musician Joshua Gibbs. |
